Temperature-responsive cell culture equipment UpCell flask available for sample provision.
It is possible to culture and recover a large number of cultured cells such as macrophages and immune system cells without damage and without using trypsin.
Celsheed Technology By utilizing a unique nano-surface design, temperature-responsive polymer (PIPAAm) has been immobilized on the surface of equipment. This allows the surface temperature to be lowered, causing the culture surface to change from hydrophobic (cell-adhesive) to hydrophilic (cell-releasing) at around 32°C, resulting in cell detachment. Without using any enzymes that can damage cells, such as trypsin, intact cells can be recovered simply by setting the equipment temperature to 20-25°C and waiting for about 10-30 minutes. ● This is the first large flask type UpCell developed for large-scale culture. ● Adhesive cells such as mesenchymal stem cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages can be recovered without trypsin treatment. ● The flask type minimizes the risk of contamination.
